A note on messages

This is a small club where people meet strangers to play. So that everyone can turn up feeling comfortable, we keep an eye on messages: they aren’t private from us the way a WhatsApp chat is. We don’t read conversations for the sake of it - only if something’s reported, if something looks wrong, or if we need to sort out a problem. Deleted messages stay in our records for 12 months, in case they’re needed.

Got it - the club can look at messages when there’s a safety reason.
