Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Tennis Social Club (“TSC”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), operator of the website and web application at tennissocialclub.co(the “Platform”), collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal data.
Contact for privacy matters: privacy@tennissocialclub.co.
By creating an account or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.
2. The law we follow
We process personal data in line with Lebanese Law No. 81/2018 on Electronic Transactions and Personal Data, which is built around obtaining the data subject's consent and processing data lawfully, transparently, and for specified purposes. Where we serve users located outside Lebanon, we aim to follow comparable good-practice data-protection principles.
3. Who can use the Platform
The Platform is intended for individuals who are of legal age (the age of majority where they live). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, contact us at privacy@tennissocialclub.co and we will delete it.
4. The personal data we collect
We collect only what we need to run a members' racquet community. Depending on how you use the Platform, this may include:
a) Information you give us
- Identity & contact: your name, email address, and phone number.
- Account & membership data: your account type (Player or Member), membership status, member number, and — for Founding Members — your founding status.
- Player profile (for matchmaking): skill or playing level, gender, your age range (derived from a birth year you provide), preferred areas and playing times, and a short bio. You choose how much of this to add, and you can hide your age or pause matchmaking at any time.
- Delivery details (boutique orders only): the delivery address and phone number you provide so an order can be delivered to you.
- Communications: messages, requests, and any content you send us or submit through the Platform.
- Optional content: a profile photo or other images, if you choose to upload them.
b) Information created as you use the Platform
- Booking activity: court and coach bookings, requests, confirmations, and cancellations.
- Matchmaking activity: match requests you send or receive and your responses.
- Order activity: items ordered from the members' boutique, order status, and delivery records.
c) Information collected automatically
- Technical & usage data: IP address, device and browser type, and basic usage information needed to keep the Platform secure and working, including essential cookies (see Section 9).
Payments. At launch, boutique purchases are paid by Cash on Delivery. We do notcollect or store your card or bank details. If we add an online payment method in future, we will update this Policy and the payment provider will handle your payment information under its own terms.
5. How we use your personal data
We use your personal data to:
- create and manage your account and membership, and issue member numbers and Founding Member cards;
- operate court bookings, coach bookings, and player matchmaking, and send the related confirmations and reminders;
- process and deliver your boutique orders (Cash on Delivery), including sharing what is needed with our delivery partner;
- communicate with you about your account, bookings, orders, and important service notices;
- send you news and offers about Tennis Social Club where you have agreed to receive them (you can opt out at any time);
- keep the Platform secure, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems;
- comply with our legal obligations.
Our legal basis is primarily your consent, and the necessity of processing to provide the services you request (such as fulfilling a booking or delivering an order).
6. Matchmaking — what other members can see
The Platform is a community built around connecting players. If you choose to participate in matchmaking, certain profile information is shared with other members so they can find and connect with you — your first name and last initial, skill level, general area, and age range (which you can show as a range, or hide entirely). You control this: you can adjust your visibility, hide your age, limit what is shown, or turn matchmaking off in your account settings. We do not display your email address, phone number, or delivery address to other members; connected players communicate through in-app chat.
7. When we share your personal data
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers (sub-processors) who help us run the Platform: Supabase (database, authentication, and file storage), Resend (transactional and, where permitted, marketing email), Vercel (hosting), and Cloudflare (domain, DNS, and content-delivery/security).
- Court partners and coaches — when you make a booking, we share what is necessary to confirm and honour it.
- Delivery partner — for boutique orders, we share your name, phone number, delivery address, and order details so your order can be delivered.
- Other members — only the matchmaking profile information described in Section 6.
- Legal & safety — where required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of TSC, our members, or others.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers (such as Supabase, Resend, Vercel, and Cloudflare) store and process data on servers located outside Lebanon, including in the European Union and the United States. Where your data is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled with an appropriate level of protection.
9. Cookies
We use only essential cookies — needed to log you in and keep your session secure. The Platform cannot work without these. We do not use advertising or third-party analytics trackers. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may stop you from logging in.
10. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data for as long as your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your account at any time (see Section 11).
11. Your rights
Under Lebanese Law No. 81/2018, you have the right to access your personal data, to ask us to correct inaccurate data, and to object to certain processing. You may also ask us to delete your account and associated personal data, subject to any data we must keep by law. You can exercise these rights, or withdraw a consent you previously gave (such as marketing emails), by contacting privacy@tennissocialclub.co. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out.
12. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including access controls and encryption in transit, and by relying on reputable hosting and authentication providers. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please keep your login details confidential.
13. Third-party links
The Platform may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Platform or by email. Your continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
